It's everywhere. It's on my deck, all stuck to any rough surface, in the fencing, in the rose bushes, etc. I imagine it probably only lasts a couple of weeks, but I am glad the trees are doing well.

Cotton Pickin' Mess
I don't recall seeing this last year. I think I would have remembered. But now that everything is getting water to it on a regular basis, things are coming back to health. And the cottonwood trees are happier. But sheesh they make a mess! (I'm not talking about the trees in this photo ... the cotton in the air is from my three cottonwood trees that line my driveway. They are out of the photo on the left.) I looked out the window, and for a second, I thought it was snowing!

One town I lived in had a plethora of cottonwood trees, the fuzz would get nearly a foot deep in the road. It's also highly flammable, one guy had his garage burn down because some kids thought it would be neat to see if the fuzz would burn. It sure did.
