I have two Questionable Decisions. One in the form of a horse. The other in the form of the horse trailer. So I have been told. I wonder if my new (to me) saddle falls into that category also.
Anyway, I loaded up the Questionable Decisions ("QD" from here on out) and went and picked up a friend and we headed out to the Owyhees last night. Saddled up the living QD and off we went. It was pretty windy out, but for at least the first half of the trip (while the sun was still up), we hardly noticed. We went up and down some pretty steep terrain, and Kahlua took great care of me. Some day, I'll need to buy a small decent camera so I can throw it in my horn bags and take photos along the way. Here's a couple of shots from my phone. I will eventually stop taking these "back of Kahlua's head" shots, but for now ... I love them!
We saw some cows and got to check out the babies ... so cute.
It was getting pretty dark by the time we got back to the trailer, but I loved being out in the evening like that. The mountains were gorgeous. We laughed quite a bit, mostly at my expense, but it was a lot of fun! Can't wait to go again!
Always love the view from between a horse's ears!
ReplyDeleteLOL, totally gonna name my next horse Questionable Decision!
ReplyDeleteNo horse person ever gets tired of taking or looking at "ear shots." The best pics always have ears :)
All my animals are questionable decisions. I went horseback riding last weekend. Went to a friend's to make soap and never quite got to the soap part. Having owned quite a number of horses in the past though and knowing what a responsibility they can be and not being financially able right now to have one, I am going to make the decision to not get one right now. That said I tell you I was seriously thinking of it after riding the other day. Have fun with Kahlua!
ReplyDeleteHey Joan ... when you call your own decisions questionable, that's one thing. Know what I mean? Oh and if I had to choose between horseback riding and making soap, well, the soap would get bought every time.
ReplyDeleteI was actually really looking forward to making the soap. I've been wanting to make some tea tree oil soap and lavender soap too. We've been making our own laundry soap and hair conditioner, but I really want to learn to make bar soap. The riding was fun though..
ReplyDeleteKahlua is turning out to be a good decision. Just sayin'.
