Update

I don't know what to call this post, and I don't have it in me to try to be creative with it.

My brother passed away today from complications of lung cancer.  To say the family is devastated is putting it lightly.  This happened in a span of about 12 days and it hasn't quite sunk in yet.  He, my sister (Jill) and I were like the three stooges, and Jill and I will be lost without him.  He was the leader, the rock, the mentor, and the best brother ever.

I am headed to New Jersey in the morning, along with my sister, to handle the services and whatever else needs handling and to support his daughters through this very very difficult time.  I am not sure when I'll be returning.

Phyllis, Jaenne, Mark, Don ... you guys are incredible and I can't thank you enough for all of your support.  I'll be in touch.

  2. I'm so sorry to hear this. One of my brothers passed away from cancer 4 years ago, and it was so quick- 14 days from the time he went to the hospital. My condolences to you and your family.

  12. Thanks you guys. I just got home. I'm wiped out, tired, sad, and in desperate need of a shower. It was a nice service, and my brother has an amazing group of really good friends who care a great deal about him. I miss him to pieces.
